Yep, that’s right, today is the day: my birthday! And at the fine young age of 32 (you’re only as old as you feel, right??) I’ve learned a thing or two about the importance of continually growing, evolving, and becoming a more basass version of yourself year after year.
That’s why this week, I want us to celebrate my birthday together by investing in my favorite gift that keeps on giving: yourself! That’s right, there are few things in life that will pay dividends down the road more than investing in yourself right now.
So we’re going to start by getting our resumes into shape. Your resume is like your career stat sheet, a not-so-humble brag of all of the cool things you’ve done. Whether you’re actively looking for a new job, or just dusting off that resume as part of your portfolio (which I recommend doing at least twice per year) know your worth, and upgrade it to reflect everything you’ve achieved—and how much you have to offer.
Then we’re going to kick it up a notch by honing a skill we already have or learning something new. Need some inspiration for getting your skillset into tip-top shape? Check out these ideas for investing in yourself this spring—and reap the benefits all year round.
32 is going to be a great year…won’t you join me??
