September 28th – Asking for H-E-L-P

401No woman is an island. Whether you decide to start your own business or to be more innovative and entrepreneurial in the way you approach what you are doing now, you need people to help you. A mentor to turn to, bounce ideas off , and learn from is invaluable, but a Rich Bitch doesn’t stop there. As the old adage goes, “It takes a village.” And while you are the mayor of that village, you should populate it with as many helpful and inspiring people as you can.

So this week, we’re looking for help in creative places and the tools to get us where we need to go. First up, a roundup of my favorite apps for heading back to school (undergrad or graduate) this fall so you can be your most organized, proactive, and financially savvy self.

Next, we’ll discuss how to get help to get your biz off the ground. Not only will you need a rockstar mentor, but also some cold hard cash, and there are lots of other ways to fundraise than going the crowdfunding or friends-and-family route. Here’s how to go about raising those funds if you don’t know Mark Cuban.

Rich Bitches do amazing things before most people even have their breakfast in the morning, but there is a time to ask for help, too. Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there, and you’ll be surprised the dividends that will come back your way!
